Tesla Motors is the most innovative and progressive car company in the world. And Odopod is their digital agency of record. With their new Model S sedan on the way and an IPO imminent, Telsa was preparing to operate at an entirely new scale when they came to Odopod.
Our first assignment: reinvent the brand online. In doing so, Tesla faced some big questions. How do we explain radically new technology in a familiar package? How do we help the uninitiated envision ownership?
Our approach was simple. We created a super clear experience featuring the car as the hero using big, bold images in the context of everyday life. From test driving and buying, to learning about charging and vehicle range, we created a system that communicated the important and sometimes unfamiliar information in digestible real-world ways. Then, we took all of the deep technical features and presented them in a layered, editorial format that enabled users to access progressively more detailed information. Finally, it was important for Tesla to bring owner perspectives into the spotlight so we crafted a dedicated space on the site for owners and enthusiasts.
Our goal is to seamlessly connect all aspects of the Tesla customer experience - from the website to the showroom and on the road.
